Specifically the reader wanted to know the easiest way to make an Ajax call to a HTTPS page from a non HTTPS page. Since we first created the starter kit a week and a half ago, Maarten Balliauw and I have been hard at work fleshing out the implementation to provide as much functionality as possible.
